What are Spider Veins?


Have you heard about spider veins? If no, I am hear to tell you what are spider veins? Theses veins look like as spider web or tree branch, that ‘s why they are called as Spider veins. In medical theses veins are called as telangiectasia or venulectasias. These veins looks like blood vessels and they are present under the skin surface. Spider veins are similar to varicose veins but their diameter is not more than 3mm. They often have dark purple or blue in color. These veins are mostly found on legs, they can also appear on your face and some other parts of the body too.

No one knows the exact causes and symptoms of theses veins but when there is aching pain, leg gets tired, swelling in the legs; skin become darker, irritated rashes in the legs etc, these are the major symptom of spider veins. These veins often grow when there is pregnancy, because at that time amount of blood increases which result in spider veins. If your family member have spider vein then there are chances that you too have theses veins. Sun exposure is also responsible to have theses veins on your face etc. Now you can treat your Spider veins too. By the use of laser technology theses veins can be treated easily.
